Any single criterion scoring below 2 should trigger pause regardless of overall score — a tool that's perfect except for data security isn't a tool you should use.

Vendors who can't answer clearly aren't necessarily hiding something — but the gaps tell you where your risk sits. Incomplete answers are informative answers.
